MetMo Grip is machined from solid stainless steel, with a hard anodised aluminium adjuster and a carbon steel central drive screw.
316 stainless steel components form the body of the Grip with a precision formed solid rod handle and CNC machined jaws.
The central drive screw is machined from a single rod of 1020 passivated carbon steel that's ready to take on the rigours of any tough job. The thread profile on the drive screw is machined using a CNC lathe as this is the only way to get the correct geometry on this, the most complex single component. It's also been upgraded with a layer of nickel using a passivation process to prevent corrosion.
6061 hard anodised aluminium is the chosen metal for the adjuster and the screw terminal. Lightweight and durable, using aluminium allows the adjuster to bed in to the drive-screw for a much more satisfying experience, and the hard anodised coating gives it that distinctive dark colour.
